About The Presbyterian
Education Board (PEB)

26 million reasons to stand up for education in Pakistan!

Pakistan has the second-highest number of out-of-school children in the world, second only to Nigeria. Over 26 million children in Pakistan are missing the chance to learn, dream, and shape their future. That means millions of young minds held back by poverty, inequality, and lack of opportunity. At PEB schools, we believe that number can change. Every classroom we open, every student we support, is a step toward breaking the cycle. Because when a child goes to school, it doesn’t just change their life, it transforms families, communities, and the world.

Transforming Lives Through Education

Everyone Counts

Education is open to all individuals regardless of race, religion or ability to pay. Every student matters and deserves the chance to learn, grow, and succeed. PEB has a special focus on providing eduction for girls.

Highest Standards

PEB Schools are accredited and fully registered with the Pakistani Government. Our schools maintain high academic standards and ensure students receive a well rounded education in safe, secure spaces.

Good Standing

Integrity, transparency, and accountability guide everything we do. Our local Board of Trustees oversees annual financial audits, and our administration team conducts regular academic and financial monitoring visits to every school.

Quality Instruction

We invest in ongoing teacher training to ensure our educators are equipped to provide students with the best possible learning experience.

"The curriculum encouraged me to study science subjects and ultimately helped me achieve my dream of becoming a doctor."

History

In the mid-1800s Presbyterian missionaries from the United Presbyterian Church formed schools for extremely poor children in the Punjab region of Pakistan. In 1972 the Pakistani government nationalized all schools, deteriorating the quality of facilities and the standard of education. In 1998 the government returned these schools back to The Presbyterian Education Board of Pakistan (PEB). Today PEB has 25 quality schools and 4 boarding houses with more than 5,500 students in attendance. PEB is dedicated to providing quality education to all individuals regardless of race, religion or ability to pay.

Schools & Boarding Houses

PEB has 25 schools, 4 boarding houses, and 2 orphanages across the Punjab region of Pakistan. Out of these 25 schools, PEB is waiting for three to be returned from the Pakistani government after denationalization.
